The McKenzie Break

Excellent POW drama. Shuns the tired UK stereotypes by making the Germans good fun and full of ingenuity while the UK are rigid, incompetent and objects of derision. The introduction of Connor, the Irish subversive, with his unorthodox yet sympathetic approach makes for a gripping climax. "Well WIlli... looks like we're both in the shithouse."

I rented this movie just two years ago, and I have no memory of it, so it must not have been very good.

Good drama, great cast.
