In this odd-ball comedy, a self-sacrificing but eccentric mother attempts to guide her equally eccentric family. She has two sons and a daughter. One son is a communist and the other is a struggling prizefighter. Her daughter is trying to snag a married booking agent to help her break into radio. In addition to watching over her children, the mother must also help her husband find a full-time job. (allmovie.com)

A meddling family comedy of crazy people. Aline MacMahon is the center of normalcy and the one to watch this for, but the others are so exaggerated that it doesn't work the way it should. I did laugh a little at Hugh Herbert's character, but this might be the worst role Allen Jenkins ever had, as a over-the-top Commie sympathizer. Guy Kibbee, who did a series of films with MacMahon during this period, was wasted. Just doesn't come together considering it had a damn solid comic cast.
