Action film makers should study pro wrestling. If you don't have a threatening, capable, menacing, interesting "heel" (which let's be real; Nazis should be) then your babyfaces won't get over. Despite the apparent high stakes and supposed unlikelihood of success, the whole movie ended up looking like a walk in the park for the Good Guys. No resistance. Pathetic. Unsatisfying.

A pointless, historically inaccurate telling of what is an amazing story. All tropes and clichés seen in many old war films are used to the maximum.

Not one if the greats, but very close. Accents are clipped, guns are cocked, enemies are Nazis, and grenades are clipped too - what's not to love? Friday night after a few drinks it's up there with "Inglorious Bastards". Saturday morning: well maybe it's close to one of the Godfathers.

Guy Ritchie's "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" combines WWII action and espionage, led by Henry Cavill. A gripping tale of Britain's first covert ops unit, it blends historical depth with thrilling action. Though it echoes familiar war epics, its unique perspective on clandestine warfare captivates.

Guy Ritchie’s films are good once in a while. You should watch his movies every two years

Pretty solid action movie that tries to be a bit more jovial as the nazis fall by the hundreds. Pyrotechnics are good. Cast decent. Unfortunately the unrelenting music gets downright annoying towards the end. Also the bow and arrow stuff was just dumb.

It's fun, lots of nazis are killed. It feels like a Marvel super hero movie that takes place during the Second World War. I think only nipples were injured during the making of this film.

It's a bit lightweight, but it's also some fun and stylish nazi killing.

Gonzalez looking seductive as hell. Are the characters still witty and charming? Yeah. Is the action fun? Yeah. Is the soundtrack good? Yeah. Does the story have some fun twists and turns? Yeah. It has all the elements of what we want from Ritchie, but none of it reaches the level of his best stuff. This doesn't have much staying power for me, despite being entertaining with a good cast.

I wanted to like The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare more than I actually did. The premise is quite intriguing, but Ritchie's screenplay feels like it reduces the events into a simplistic action flick. The writing is noticeably weaker than his earlier films, and I occasionally felt a disconnect between the dialogue conveying character traits and the performance Ritchie gets out of his actors. Cavill, Ritchson and Sapani did well and seemed to be having fun. Golding and Pettyfer felt underused.

Inglourious Basterds light, but fun though.

It's ridiculous, over-the-top, unbelievable, unrealistic, there's very little tension, and you have to turn your brain off a bit - but despite all that it's still quite entertaining from start to finish.

How the F is the Rotten Tomatoes audience score for this over 90%?? The problems with this film are encapsulated in the opening w/ a bunch of physically small Nazis on a rowboat boarding a fishing boat containing 2 leading men who are far more muscular (1 is huge). The leading men never show the slightest trace of concern, reinforcing there's no stakes. Worse is that there's nothing interesting about their escape. No cleverness; no laughs; nothing new. I guess people find polite Rambos hilarious

I enjoyed it, but thought it was a bit over the top with the violence. It tried to not take its self seriously but then had some brutal violence.

In a lot of ways, this feels like Guy Ritchie’s Inglorious Basterds. But it’s also a little forgettable. I didn’t really care much about the story or characters. They are both pretty flat. This is pretty much disposable entertainment, but it’s fun while it lasts. It’s not as much fun as some other action movies that are out now, but you could do a lot worse than join this ministry.

Fast paced and light hearted, this is an enjoyable but dispensable cotton candy movie that will almost certainly quickly be forgotten but is quite fun while you're watching it. Most of the characters aren't all that memorable, with the exceptions of Alan Ritchson, who could probably be the next big action hero if he wants to be, and Eiza Gonzalez, who really shines in her storyline with the Nazi commander. The score has a western vibe to it which is really cool as well.

Much like his other projects, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is another entry in Guy Ritchie’s signature schtick. His dialogue is quippy and unrealistic beyond belief and the action itself lends for a more light hearted fun than tension inducing pace. However, Ritchie does a great job of keeping a solid narrative as well, and while his emphasis of heavy exposition is kind of exhausting, in a total package, he once again delivers another solid mid budget adventure that is satisfying.

A very good movie. A lot of one sided shooting and they never really fail. A bit of history I never knew. Have to wonder how much of this is accurate vs fabricated.
