Affecting as any by-the-books cinderella story is affecting: the acting was alright, the story was enough, and it was even based on a true story.

Worst sports movie ever. Cast is full of 24 year olds pretending to be high-schoolers. The whole movie is filled with bloopers, plot-holes etc. And it is a really heartless cold-blooded movie.

Sometimes, the true story gets too dramatized with cliches that try to make you believe that it went a certain way. Also, the editing is a little scattershot, and the director tries to milk too much out of its cast. However, Erin Moriaty delivers a very strong performance as the best friend to the deceased Caroline Found, and when it hits the mark, the story gets you invested into learning more about the real life events behind it.

I "hate" these kinds of movies - they always make me tear up, no matter how bad the camera angels are or how many cliches they use. *Okay
