A fun cast with a good pace. Neat to see the Downton Abbey castle. Fav scene: Maggie Smith coming on to him.

This comedy might be too civilized for it own good. While it gives all characters a humanity, its satirical attack never fulfill its potential neither are any jokes laugh out loud funny. The plot in the last act is underdeveloped. Spending way too little time with the actual mission, it skips through crucial character developments and rushes to its conclusion. Great production design and locations plus a likable and solid cast, most of all Palin himself, are the main draw to watch this.

Modern attempt at recreating the tone and style of Ealing comedy, with mixed results. Quite different from his Monty Python work, this gentlish bedroom comedy marks Palin's emergence as a skillful, subtle actor.
