The Monkey King 2

Right off the bat, "The Monkey King 2" starts on shaky ground considering that the developers scrapped the superstar Donnie Yen as the titular character with Aaron Kwok, who, either coincidentally or not, played the primary antagonist in the previous installment. But this sequel manages to overcome that with much better CGI, and a fantastic--in more than one meaning--story. With the obligatory origin out of the way, these movies have some awesome content to churn out before running out of ideas.
