The aesthetic of The Mortuary Collection almost seems aimed at the PG-13 crowd, whereas the content assuredly isn't. Spindell crafts an anthology of 4 tales told within a framing story, and structurally the film works well. The stories themselves are decent, blending horror and amusement in an entertaining fashion; though the concept is slightly better than the execution. Brown captures an old school creepiness and is the best part.

Clancy Brown puts out an unofficial audition to replace Angus Scrimm as The Tall Man and I'm one hundred percent on board. The wraparound story is entertaining and helps forgive the somewhat lackluster shorts that comprise the anthology. Still recommended to those that seek this stuff out anyways and don't need my recommendation.

I had somewhat high hopes for this one but it fell a bit flat. I did enjoy the Mortician as a character and the whole gothic feeling of the mortuary.

The stories were entertaining and fun but a little sketchy and fanciful. I enjoyed the nice twisty ending and stories with karma. Good music and film production quality. The acting was reasonably good. Overall it was interesting and a little kooky. Worthwhile.

Another fun anthology movie from Shudder. Clancy Brown is fantastic. The CGI lets the movie down a bit in places but worth checking out.
