The Mummy's Shroud

More straightforward than the first 2 which also means simple & so the 2nd half basically has the Mummy killing those who ignored the curse 1 at a time. Worse, except for an acid attack, the kills are rather dull. The Mummy makeup also looks cheaper. BUT, as usual, Hammer creates interesting characters who have problems to work out even when the Mummy's not around. There's also a great sense of urgency as the characters realize they need to flee but can't. This also has the best Mummy climax.

The writing and pacing are far better than "Curse of the Mummy's Tomb" but for the most part it's as dry and lifeless as the monster at its center.

Im learning that finding a good mummy movie is possibly even harder than finding a good werewolf movie. This one has an ok, yet dragged out story and some really good character interaction. Even some good acting. As a dr. who fan seeing Roger Delgado is a treat. However the mummy is mostly absent like many of these mummy films

For some reason, I find a lot of these mid '60s Hammer films very compelling.

Moderately entertaining.
