Not the strongest Muppet movie, but it still benefits from Jim Henson's magic touch, which ensured the right balance of humor, music, and heart. Decent fun for both kids and adults.

I love when the Muppets get thrown out of buildings, oh man. Elliot Gould cameo.

Touching and heart-felt. Kermit and the gang really hit their stride with this film.

Boss 80's New York, some nice slips of adult humor and a general feel good experience.

There are good musical numbers at the very beginning and very end, but the hour and a half between those two parts is pretty much a slog. There's some funny gags, but they're few and far between, and the central plot/conflict is pretty much non-existent. I never grew up with the Muppets and barring the absolutely outstanding Jason Segal/Amy Adams film, I've never found them to be very entertaining, and believe their high scores on this site are driven solely by childhood nostalgia. Don't @ me.

A mid-tier Muppet movie; certainly some great, memorable sequences, but also problematic in places

A little less creative than the previous two but still has a ton of charm and character.

Probably the weakest of all the Muppet movies, as its plot is a little bland and its characters never seem to shine or be very funny as they usually do. It wins for introducing us to the Muppet Babies though!

An enjoyable and easy-going (but not without its slightly dark conflicts) family film with some terrific and absolutely adorable songs, impressive puppetry, and notably friendly messages. Plus, Juliana Donald is a total babe.

Despite having Muppet Show roots, it falls apart as Kermit loses his memory and the group disbands. And ends with a musical *shudder*

Better than "The Great Muppet Caper", but the songs aren't quite as good. It's worth a watch for anyone born pre-90's, but the non-existent nostalgia for anyone after the 90's will probably make this less worthy of attention.

Not nearly as good as the original. The songs are lackluster and it's kind of lost its sense of fun. Better than the atrocious Great Muppet Caper though.

The Muppets are so goddamn wholesome. I would kill for them. My favourite thing about this is all the disguises. Something about Kermit dressing up and acting like a sleazy agent is so funny to me.

The Muppets Take Manhattan isn't one of the Muppet films that jumps out as one of my favourites. But that's not to say that it still isn't enjoyable though. I think musically this is one of the weakest Muppet films and none of the songs are particularly memorable. There's a great sense of 80's New York and there are occasional humorous scenes. But otherwise I think this is something of a bland and forgettable Muppet feature film. The Muppets themselves are fun, but nothing or no one stands out.

I'm amazed this film is so highly regarded. Very little to offer to anyone but those with very short attention spans. Feels like any given episode of Sesame Street, sans educational value. For toddlers and Muppet nerds only!

The biggest flaw in this Muppet outing is its not very memorable. In fact, I'm already starting to forget most of this movie! Suffice it to say there's not enough laugh-out-loud jokes or magical moments to make this worth more than a curious look.

Right on. In thier first movie, the Muppets went to Hollywood, now they take Manhattan. Only seems natural. I think this movie has a great story and a lot of heart put into it. Also, it introduced the world to the concept of Muppet Babies, thus the spinoff cartoon show.

1984 känns rätt länge sen när man ser denna rulle. Segt, några roliga inslag men som ett program i TV-serien som fått sträcka ut sig till 100 minuter istället för 25. Animal gör dock som alltid en god rolltolkning. /Elevated Acre, NYC.

Decent. Drags at points, and the storyline has holes. Kids who like the Muppets would eat it up, though.

A little annoying at times, the human lead actors are terrible and there's too many songs, it's also probably the weakest of the Muppet films musically. It does have it's moments though and in the end is a decent film.

I don't like it as much as the previous two muppet movies but there's still some fun moments mostly the beginning and the end. The jokes don't quite land the same in this one and I don't like the baby muppet scene too much. I'm just glad it starts and ends strong.
