Run of the mill eighties slasher that takes a Bone Tomahawk turn with a murder so graphic and disturbing my jaw remained dropped for about ten minutes. Could not believe they took it up to eleven in a movie that was happily coasting at a five, six tops.

With Oscar season around the corner, it's important to watch movies like The Mutilator to remind yourself that not all bad movies are critically revered and lifeless- Some bad movies have the decency to feature nudity and gore and plenty of it. God bless The Mutilator! And a happy new year!

The opening scene reveals that the dad is pretty unhinged to begin with, then they double down on this dad being a bad dad by keeping a framed photo of a guy he hit with his boat , then the Mutilator does the impossible, it triple downs and shows the dad having dreams of killing his son in several different ways while he is snuggling with a battle axe. There is literally no suspense at all in this or any shocking revelations, the one guy realizes it’s his dad 84 minutes after we do.

This is a surprisingly fun slasher film. The group of college student are likable if a bit stupid, the kills are gory and violent, and the effects are well done. Is this the greatest thing ever, No but it's entertaining and not hard to sit through.

A movie where people get brutally butchered and yet has music in it to suggest a family sitcom. A must see for that alone!

So turns out this lil film is also known as Fall Break Well changing the title didn't change how bad the acting is; it's worse then I remembered Goofy upbeat soundtrack and the credit rolls are a gag reel of sorts Kills are still pretty decent Best kill chick getting hook through her "Girly Parts"

The beginning shows promise of C-grade slasher fun in the vein of something like ”Blood Rage”. Too bad that the film takes itself rather seriously. The budgetary limitations and lack of locations or interesting characters start to wear you out. The script is as straight forward as the come - you keep waiting for a twist or two to appear, but there is none. The kills are brutal and competently done, too bad that's the only department where the film excels.

If taken with even a shred of seriousness, it's one of the weaker slashers out there. But, if viewed as the low-budget slice of 80's cheese that it is, it's a surprisingly fun ride even if it never comes close to being great. The performances are bad, the premise is flimsy, & the finale isn't so hot, but there are so many oddball comedic moments & unintentional laughs that, combined with the enjoyable soundtrack & a few genuinely good kills, make for a goofy & entertaining time. Worth a watch.

Every aspect of this forgotten 1980's slasher pic is hilariously bad. In my perfect world: the name Buddy Cooper would be mentioned in the same breath as other misguided visionaries like Ed Wood and Herschell Gordon Lewis. In short, 'The Mutilator' is to 80's slasher movies what 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' was to 1950's sci-fi.

One of the worse slasher flicks ever done. Well, at least it has some funny parts (even though they weren't supposed to be funny, I guess).

Mostly for gorehounds yet is still well crafted and even kind of fun at times. Also known as Fall Break.

This 80s slasher gives you exactly what you expect and want from it. It's fun, actually suspenseful at a few times and the gore in the kills was well done

Pretty dull and derivative 80s slasher, near beat by beat soft remake of Halloween except in a beach house.
