Characters I could not MAKE myself care the least about making problems for themselves

Ultimately insulting.

The movie that led to my "two hours closer to death" rule; if it's not worth two hours of your short, valuable life, skip it.

The first half of the picture is a long version of the preview & yawn inducing, then the movie shifts gears & becomes depressing. Little of interest graces the screen, i don't care for an almost always weepy Madonna. A couple brilliant moments of dialogue are hidden in emotional gunk that clouds communication.

A movie, by one of my favorite singers, just to pass time.

"Abbie is a yoga instructor who is approaching 40 and has been burned by too many past relationships. Robbie is a gay, aging Hollywood playboy who works as a gardener and has become Abbie's best friend. Their relationship takes a different turn when they get rip-roaring drunk and end up in bed together." What more do you need to know?

The very worst thing.

A little hokey in the beginning, but then it took twists and turns I didn't see coming. It really makes you think about what it means to be a parent. One thing I noticed is that Robert, because he cared so much about his son, would only let men get so close. He had a chance for a loving relationship with a wonderful man, but he turned that away for his son. When Abbie is faced with the same thing, she turns her family's life upside down to pursue love. That's not fair.
