Slow moving thriller spends an agonising amount of time establishing its fairly simple premise (BLAIR WITCH in Afghanistan), with an alien invasion standing in for the witch. More engaging once the plot kicks into gear, though it traffics in low-key suspense rather than out and out horror; unfortunately the unseen menace itself is poorly established, leading to a finale which doesn't really make much sense. Engaging enough to be a pretty easy time-killer.

Not a horrible movie, but it doesn't deviate much from the Blair Witch formula. It's a shame because it had potential

Ambiguity in horror films can work great, but this was just a pile of nonsense. Technically competent, even a creepy scene or two, but ultimately a waste of time.

"A bleak adventure flick and a very sweaty psychological thriller."

Not bad at all for a cheaply budgeted sci-fi movie. My biggest problem was that the lead actor (Jonas Ball) was one of the most unconvincing CIA operative I've ever scene. Plus there's not much back story so it's kinda.. bleah.

Unless you will judge this movie based on the fact that Daniel Myrick of the Blair Witch Project worked on this film, ignore the bad scores. The visuals were amazing, and the plot suspenseful. A good thriller.
