Scott's life is plagued by two kinds of flashbacks. First are the childhood memories of the rigorous training he and a friend endured under a martial arts master. The second is of a mission Scott went on that ended with him watching his friend get murdered. Scott later becomes drawn closer to a vicious crime ring known as The Octagon. As he gets closer to the truth, Scott learns that these may be the men that murdered his friend so long ago. (imdb)

I really wanted to like this film since it has a goofy streak running through it that is miles wide, but oh boy does it have problems. Three actresses drop into the lead role at different points in the film, and they not only cannot act, they deliver stunningly odd line reading full of unmotivated pauses and weird robotic inflections. Amazingly, with all this oddness, it still ended up being a bit dull and overly long.

Oh god, Chuck Norris. Everything about this movie is wrong, from the hilarious mental asides to the ridiculous plot to the horrible love scene. Nothing redeems this film, not even the ending action scenes.

This is way beyond bad...How the f is this people's favorite Norris film? I'm a Norris fan but this is one of his worst showings for sure.

Chuck Norris is goddamn awful. I don't know how or where the internet cult of Norris started, but it needs to be stopped. The guy was crap at acting and his karate looked like shit.

An exceptionally dull film, probably one of the first American films to include ninja, but with pretentions to be a serious film that is completely inappropriate and uninteresting as a result. The only aspects of interest are hearing Chuck Norris' internal thoughts and the fact that he has a 'Sixth Sense' to detect ninjas in a room.

Really bad. Chuck's constant echoing inner-monologuing grates almost immediately and Karen Carlson could possibly be the worst actress in history. 20 points alone for the Norris/Norton fight near the end.
