Saw this at the Toronto Film Festival. Lots of potential with an entertaining story. It's a noir premise set in highschool over a gambling debt that results in murder. Johnston reminds me of a young Tom Cruise from the 80s. Obvious issues here being the acting all around just wasn't at the level of the mood being conveyed, and continually took me out of the movie. A seemingly low budget doesn't help that either. This does show potential and I look forward to Simon Davidson's next film.
