The Other Me

The Other Me takes an artsy approach to avoid the premise of "seeing people's true motives", instead exploring how embracing a life with a warped perception becomes a positive coping mechanism for traumatic change. The film has a trans character happily live in the woods, and the protagonist eventually joins her after losing his eyesight. Overall the film is a bit over-acted, not particularly interesting, and most of the emotional lifting is done by the score. Escapism in its most benign sense.
