A great example of life in the bullpen. One of the major factors that convinced me to become a journalist

This is a great, fast paced, gritty newspaper story. Fantastic casting: the friction between Close and Keaton is spectacular, Tomei should have won the oscar for THIS performance - not My Cousin Vinny (although that was a good performance too). Even Quaid is in top form. This movie is often overlooked, which is a shame because it is a greeat film.

Decent movie about one day in a joke ish newspaper in NYC. Keaton is great in it, and I almost lost it near the end.

This movie suits Howard well. Well paced and a strong cast make this fairly ho-hum script entertaining.

a good comedy "romp", going too over the top in the last third. cool celeb cast, and it would all feel quite modern if it wasn't for the schmalzy 90s orchestral music

Good enough. Ensemble cast and great pacing, though a bit "Hollywood Liberal" over-the-top in the story's subject matter.
