The script is a dud, and no amount of spit and polish can disguise the fact that this is as boneheaded and misguided an idea for a major motion picture release as it gets. No 1600 score for this underachiever -- perhaps The Perfect Snore would have been more appropriate a title.

Sadly, Darius Miles is a better actor than he is a basketball player.

I wish they would have cheated just so they could have gotten in trouble for it, these characters were pretty unlikable.

Stupid predictable teen comedy. Occasionally made me crack a smile but pretty forgettable otherwise.

The cliched plot and characters ruined what was never a bright or quirky coming of age tale.

Two actors who were underrated at the time (Johansson, Evans) making this suprisngly good at times. Weak acting by the basketball player and pot-head weaken it all though.

A semi entertaining teen comedy about a group of high schoolers who decide to cooperate to steal the SAT because they all need to pass for different reason.

The Perfect Score actually had some potential to be a satisfyingly ridiculous heist movie. Instead, it's not funny, the dialogue is atrocious, and the all the characters have somehow learned their lessons at the end of the movie without any real character development or consequences. Overall, this is a very painful movie to watch, a film that dumbly eschews the best practices of storytelling.

Two massive problems: first, the "heist" is pure nonsense. The movie never really explains what the plan is, and does an incredibly sloppy job of pulling it off. Second, they take the most irritating character and make him the narrator. It would be better off without Nam altogether. He's intolerable and the fact he smokes pot leads to the inevitably stupid and preachy "Why are you ruining your life with marijuana?" scene. Still, it's watchable. If it came on TV, I wouldn't change the channel.

I promise I'm generally not a bragging person, but I got a 1470 on my SAT first try without studying, so this movie made me feel smug and superior.

Gah...so...didactic. 'Through the power of working together, we can all get perfect scores...but we're so dumb we don't use any of the answers we worked so hard to (sorta) get.' NO...TEENAGER...WOULD...EVER...DO...THIS. ( That's the problem with having writers in their 40s writing from the perspective of teens. ) Most aren't smart enough. Those that are got a 1200 on the SAT in 8th grade. Truly.

Surprisingly watchable (by which I mean I'm surprised it's not unwatchable), even when it makes some real head-scratching detours (a shot-for-shot recreation of the opening scene from The Matrix for no reason).

Mostly a good cast, including a young redhead Scarlett Johansson and Erika Christensen. This is an improbable story about high school seniors attempting to steal the SAT scores, and sort of succeeding. While the movie was OK to watch and had a few good situations, the script and the ending was unrealistic and unsatisfying. Music was good. Acting was split between OK and good. It was barely worth watching and would have been a lot less cheesy with a better last 10 minutes.
