It just wasn't that exciting. Feels like a filler B-movie you used to see on pay-per-view if you wanted to see cleavage and eventually breasts. It was pretty cool when Sybil Danning showed up all kick-ass, but damned if I can remember what her motivation was. Terrible cannibal costumes that reminded me of Troll. Bad dialogue. Fav scene: fighting the robot and then moron doc says, "robots aren't indigenous to this area."

Ray continues to surprise and delight me, relative to the kinds of movies he makes. Bargain bin as genre pieces but almost uniquely likeable as goofy schlock comedies. Like the credit gag here (https://tinyurl.com/mthyuxtz), or bagpipe bit in DEEP SPACE. Viewed in this way, the slapdash presentation is a plus. All the static master shots. Staged like vaudeville, with dialogue to match. A bona fide sensibility. Also how you make 160 of them.
