The central premise is good, the execution less so. It was hard to warm to Paré in this role, and overall it felt like a bit of a missed opportunity. It looks VERY dated compared to another time travel film that came out in 1984. Might pass the time if you're in the mood.

had the characters been rational and acted sane, this movie would have been 15 minutes long. the main character was annoying and a drag throughout the entire movie. so was his "love interest". garbage movie.

I had higher hopes for a movie about the Philadelphia Experiment. Really wooden acting from Michael Paré.

The possibilities for a reappraisal of contemporary culture through the eyes of two derelicts from the Forties are barely touched. (The possibilities in time-travel stories are of course infinite, and though we can't ask that, we can ask more than this.) And the hero's understandable bewilderment over his predicament is soon shoved aside by his man-of-action instincts and a drearily traditional love interest: "We could go away somewhere. Together. Just you and me."

I had to switch the audio from New Jersey to English so I could understand anything Michael Pare was saying.

Top badass moment? Move along, there's nothing to see here; certainly no one heroic enough to do anything worthy of the accolade of "Top Baddass Moment". No cats, decapitations or chainsaws. However, one unfortunate guy does sort of get trapped in the deck of the ship with his head half embedded in the metal. That's going to take at least two paracetamol to sort out.
