The Present

"Al-hadiya" is a competently made short that starts off in deceptively calm fashion and proceeds to become progressively more intense, culminating in the powerful climax. The acting - both by the dad and the kid - is good, and thankfully the resolution isn't reached by going down the easy route of tragedy: the film opts instead for a conclusion that is simple without being simplistic and somehow contains both indignation and hope without being unnecessarily devastating or unbearably optimistic.

Well made look at the inequality experienced by ordinary people in the Israeli apartheid regime.

Fantastic storyline a different view of the Israeli-Palestinian battle and i think that's what we need. For both countries, most innocent people are experiencing human-like suffering and no one helps them. The days pass and they continue to die, they cannot live their lives.
