The Pride of St. Louis

Fairly tame for a baseball movie. That might be because the lack of baseball in it. Too much time is spent on Dan Dailey being a love sick puppy for Joanne Dru and not really being focused on the sport. And when they do focus on baseball it introduces his injury and then it becomes more on how he'll transition his life post pitching. A hollow biopic, and more like a very basic romcom. One that doesn't ignite beyond some mild charm thrown at us, and not nearly enough of his fastballs.
