Paige, a pre-med student from Wisconsin, is on the fast track toward her lifelong goals. Edward, the Crown Prince of Denmark, is trying to escape a life he never chose. The Prince & Me isn't a film I hated, but that doesn't mean it deserves a passing grade. With just a little more effort and insight, this could have something more than just another pleasant nothing of a movie. You've probably seen it all before, but just in case you haven't, watch Ever After (or even Pretty Woman for older audiences) instead for a formula Cinderella retread done with some distinction.

I wasn't sure about this movie at first, but it didn't take too long for me to really fall in love with it. Sure, there's some classic story lines and little lack of originality, but it's all told really well. It's acted well and I felt satisfied with the ending (thanks for choosing the ending they did!). There's more too it than meets the eye, which is nice.
