The Princess Bride

I don't know anyone who doesn't like this movie, and I don't want to know anyone who doesn't like this movie.

An insanely charming work that may have once been mere entertainment, but time has revealed it as a work of art, elegant in its simplicity - a new fairy tale to stand proud with the classics. Westley and Inigo's duel is the greatest sword fight in cinema. I know it's cheesy and my score is colored by nostalgia, but I have absolutely no capacity to be objective about this movie. I truly love it.

As great as this movie is, they didn't know how to market it. I love this movie, but when I watch the official trailer, I'm not moved to watch it at all. This is especially egregious because the movie has a built-in preview, when the grandpa tries to sell the story to his grandson, listing all the reasons to love it. Just play that speech and I'd stop everything to watch it again.

A classic. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy finds girl, girl trys to kill boy, boy and girl almost die in the fire swamp.

Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman.
