After being kicked out of work, Sam decides to try his skills in another field: private investigation. Sam convinces Michael, the head of a small detective agency, to give him a job. Along with his cynical boss, Michael, and his "looks not so clever" assistant, Ricky, Sam will need to resolve a series of small, but complicated crimes. These adventures will include catching shop lifters, retrieving a TV set, getting pictures of cheating couples and even take care of movie theatre robbers. (KFCC)

Fun HK detective comedy. There are a few great action scenes, but the heart of this is silly comedy and it works very well.

The wouldn't be much of a mistake to call Hui brothers Chinese Marx bros. Their interaction on screen is very alike, and no one could deny that there is same chemistry between them. This film follows same formula as other films directed by Michael Hui - good-natured situation comedy with bunch of goofies doing some job and getting into lots of funny (mis)adventures. If you want to see a film that portrays Bruce Lee kung-fu style fight with a shark from Jaws - look no further. Hilarious.

(Rewatch: needed more cute receptionist Angie Chiu) Didn't expect this to be a series of set pieces, basically, with them trying to make the most fun out of each situation. Cool to see Hong Kong in the 70s with the old vehicles and undeveloped locations. Very catchy theme song. Fav scenes: fighting in the kitchen with food (sausage nunchucks) and being confronted in the martial arts gym with different brothers.
