The first half is very reminiscent of Ferris Bueller's Day Off with all of the 4th wall breaks, then the second half morphs into Say Anything. I don't really know why Rachel is into Charles, but if it means all of those amazing Ione Skye sex scenes I'm here for it. Really just one of the horniest non pornographic films I've seen. There's also the occasional stylish shot, so if you're in to the whole 80's aesthetic, and want something cool and sexy then The Rachel Papers might be worth watching.
