A crime flick where moral and goodhearted nature is the central focus where Richard Conte as a murderous gangster hides on a fishing boat, and find himself actually loving that lifestyle. Much to do with Charles Bickford as the captain being the nicest man at sea. And in the process the captain's restless son find himself at a crossroad in life, and it comes across rather nicely in one of the gentlest thrillers around.
