The Real Charlie Chaplin

I get ZERO enjoyment from silent films, including his big-reputation classics. But his life is interesting and the history of American cinema and politics is too.

This was a real good portrait of the comic genius. Goes deep into the psyche of a complicated man who had extreme qualities and major faults, while showcasing the impact he made on comedy in perspective of his troubled upbringing. We'll probable never get to know The Real Charlie Chaplin (2021) because he was always hiding behind the showman in him, but this give it a good shot while not really bringing anything new about the man.
