The Red Queen Kills 7 Times

I never end up liking these giallo movies as much as I want to - they always feel like they're missing a few key scenes where the plot and characters are explained properly. This one has a fun central mystery and plenty of style, but the script and editing are so haphazard that it's tough to care.

The Red Queen Kills 7 Times has at least 7 times the murders that The Queen (2006) does.

Okay, another giallo- Gonna go right into it this time: Highly atmospheric... aaahhmm... stylized... yes... Arrrghgh, fuckfuckfuckfuck! No, I can do this, wait- lemme concentrate- *deep breath* Okay, this had some pretty cool... erm... stuff. God damn it. I remember kind of liking this one, too.

This was pretty good. Ticks lots of the boxes prevalent in the giallo genre...it's stylish and capably filmed, nicely scored, has interesting settings and a solid cast; at the same time, of course, it's somewhat convoluted, fanciful and with some nicely-handled acts of violence and nudity. First film I've seen by this guy, but I've got another one lying around (The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave) that I'm happy to try out. Giallo as a genre can be a lot of fun, and this is a decent example.

Unfortunately I saw the dubbed version. I loved the theme music and the score in general. The movie was well shot and had me enthralled for most of it's running time however the film was too long and started to drag and fall apart during the second half.

Another very enjoyable giallo with gothic element from Emilio Miraglia, the focus in this is more on the giallo part than it is in The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave. Llike many giallo's this has more red herrings and twists than the Red Queen has victims. But that's always part of the fun of them.

Maybe my brain has just been broken by American horror movies

Pretty well shot and made, also really gory.

Quem fica encantado com certos plot twists do cinema comercial contemporâneo certamente nunca viu um giallo, esse em especial ganha neste quesito que chega a ser nonsense, mas no geral é bem construído, embora falte um quê estético que podemos ver em outros diretores do gênero.
