Decent, well-made, instantly forgettable.

I think Disney managed a fluke here - a sequel that was actually better than the original.

George C Scott is a slam dunk Disney villain pick. The eagle in this is too fucking big.

Nicely animated as you would expect, and moderately entertaining -- but this no longer has much of anything to do with the wonderful Miss Bianca books by Margery Sharp upon which these movies are ostensibly based. Freder isn't saying you should pass this movie up; but the books are much better, real Victorian Gothic Adventure with great illustrations by Garth Williams. They are all out of print, sadly, but can still be found cheaply through used book dealers.

A somewhat underrated Disney film, that has some exciting sequences, fun characters, and while there is a bit of a message about not poaching endangered animals, it's not too preachy.

Maybe better than the original, maybe not. I can't remember what I scored the first one. It's a decent animated film, and one of Disney's best sequels.

Just leaves me wondering how they decided which animals could and couldn't talk.

Pretty similar entertainment-wise to the original. The stakes seem higher, though, and the animation seems to have improved.

Visually, this movie is amazing - not just high-budget and good-looking, but clearly put together by people who know how to tell stories through animation. Unfortunately, the story they're telling is filled with cliches and weirdly incoherent, including a sequence with its own mini-cast of talking animals that never actually impacts the plot. It's not *terrible*, and it's lovely to watch, but I wish the effort lavished on every cel could've been in service of a better story.

Standard Disney - not the greatest but tnot the worst, either. Holds a lot of nostalgia, and is still a joy to watch.

George C. Scott has the best songs of any 90s Disney villain. Also, I liked it when Candy got his.

I watched this movie every single day for a period of several months. Definitely better than the original, but not that great apart from nostalgia.

I think my favorite childhood movie at the age of 5, before somehow being exposed to T2 within a year or so. The opening credits & Orville flying around cities were mindblowing at the time.

As a big fan of the original, it truly pains me that THIS is the Rescuers movie my generation remembers. George C. Scott's villain is as cardboard and one-dimensional as Evil Hunter Villains in kids' movies get.

(2014-15 Disneython #23:) Thinly-plotted even by 80-minute kids cartoon standards, but it has a certain undeniable charm to its characters and settings, with animation vastly improved from the original Rescuers. That said, I easily overall prefer the original as a film.

2nd most visually stunning animated Disney movie, after Sleeping Beauty. The absence of songs takes away a lot of the typical Disney magic, and it would actually be better with all new characters instead of bringing back the two mice from the inferior first movie. The visuals elevate cookie cutter characters, and a thin story.

That guy was really terrible, and fairly one-dimensional. I kind of wish they added a reunion scene at the end.

Seen: lots. I hadn't seen it in over twenty years. Am I crazy, or is this better than the original and about as good as lightweight Disney romps get?
