Have Michael Keaton and DDP ever been in the same room?

Jake the Snake Roberts is one of the most interesting stories of wrestling in and outside of the ring, but this documentary is pretty bland. Most of it is redundant scenes of "Yeah, Jake is getting sober now! That's a good thing!" Without any substance to it beyond that. There were a few interesting scenes of conflict, but most of it played out like a lame "feel good" drama with laughably melodramatic stock music playing in the background.

Might be promotional material for Diamond Dallas Page's workout program as much as it is about Jake Roberts' personal demons. And perhaps it ultimately amounts to little more than fan service, because wrestling fans love an inside glimpse. But it is extremely intimate.

Jake the Snake was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was a child. This documentary was really interesting, I learned a lot about the man. I would recommend this film for 1980's wrestling fans.

A modest documentary feature that's limited in resources and drama, RESURRECTION gets a lot of mileage out of nostalgic feels, inspiration porn, and the chemistry of the old-school pro wrestling fraternity. It's essentially an extra-long, unusually profane episode of INTERVENTION with a celebrity draw to make it a more reliably entertaining than the typical offerings in this genre.

65 for Steve Yu's doc. 96 for Jake's sobriety.

We now return to this special episode of Addicted, sponsored by DDP YOGA. I like to think that's the same tooth pick that Razor Ramon has had throughout his career.

Diamond Dallas Page trying to suck the poison out of Jake "The Snake" Roberts! Rarely does one see a more positive wrestling documentary, especially since the old generation consists mainly of destructive people and few more so then The Snake. It's heartwarming watching the addict try so hard to get their life back, but this is really a promotional video for DDP Yoga which takes away from the experience. But stay positive Jake Roberts (and Scott Hall)! We don't want to lose you too.
