The Return of Dracula

This is a semi-remake of Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt, except this time the long lost uncle is the King of the Undead! Francis Lederer is effective as the Count, despite a natty hairdo. Moody black and white photography and a soundtrack heavy on the Dies Irae make all the difference.

Pretty lame. I kept thinking it would get better but never did.

Good script and performances. Nicely moody and atmospheric. Unfortunately lame day-for-nights are definitely a liability when making vampire movies. ;)
