Really eye-opening documentary. Brilliantly made. Heartbreaking and inspiring and harrowing and enraging like only the truth can be.

Like Khomeini and others, outside intervention was a significant boon to Chavez's regime. This documentary captures the most dramatic moments of the start of the consistent shift to the left in Latin America, but if you admire or respect Chavez because of the figure presented here or elsewhere in the media keep in mind he called Libyan and Syrian protestors fascists.

Consistently engaging. However, I cannot help of think of the line from Heinlein's novel _Glory Road_: "To claim to 'respect' and even to 'love' the great mass with their yaps at one end and smelly feet at the other requires the fatuous, uncritical, saccharine, blind, sentimental slobbishness found in some nursery supervisors, most spaniel dogs, and all missionaries." Some young leftist is gonna yell at me for saying that, but, like Joe Bob Briggs says, this ain't Communist Russia

The filmmakers get kudos for staying on their feet and creating this movie as the story unfolded in front of them. While the verité footage of the drama is amazing, the context that they provide on the United States and Latin American countries is profound. But most of all Chavez--for whatever you think of him--makes for a captivating character that you get to watch for the duration of the film. A remarkable picture to view either in a Government class or as a thriller at home.
