The Rezort

"So get this, Jurassic Park but with Zombies!" "Really? That's your whole idea?" "...OK, we'll throw in some stuff about the refugee crisis so people have to pretend to think it Says Something." "Whatever, as long as the zombie gore is good." "...Um... Yeah..."

The Rezort is another zombie flick in the long list we've gotten over the years, and it's sad to say it has a unique premise but doesn't do anything with it, following the same beats almost every zombie movie does. While it does have redeeming value with its decent acting, really good affects and a quick pace that won't bore you to death, there is no reason for it to exist, because of it being formulatic and dull. Overall, there isn't enough here to warrant a watch.

In what is essentially a documentary about modern American immigration reform, Rezort takes an in-depth look into the current administration's hard-line zero-tolerance policy on displaced refugees, and how the tired, poor, huddled, tempest-tossed masses are given a second chance through employment on privately owned beachfront properties.

Half baked idea that never really gets off the ground. There's nothing surprising in this one, and everything just seems a little limp. It started off as a gimmick, but then after the park goes awry there's nothing here that's any different from any other zombie movie out there. Barring new, fresh ideas the only thing you have to fall back on is some sweet ass zombie kills, this has none.
