The Ridiculous 6

Lazy. Stupid. Insulting. Witless. Gross. Did I mention lazy? Adam Sandler is a cancer on film.

Insanely overlong with too few laughs supporting even a shorter run. There are maybe one or two chuckles but really the funnest parts are spotting the cameos.

This movie sucks with the force of the roaring waters of the mighty buffalo. From small pebble comes - WHY IS THIS TWO HOURS. Terry Crews is a shining beacon of light.

I'm starting to wonder if some wealthy folks have taken it upon themselves to start some contest to see who can make the shittiest movie, and Sandler and Schneider aren't really in on the gag, they just think, "wow, we're artistic movie masters!" How else can you explain how these pieces of shit keep getting made?!

Though it's a veritable masterpiece compared to Jack and Jill (which is legitimately one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life), it has that annoying Adam Sandler thing going where he's like this relatively cool and skilled guy who the joke is never on while the joke is on everyone else around him. Jason Bateman can pull off the straight man. Sandler can't. Taylor Lautner is admittedly funny now and then though.

The Ridiculous 6 is unfunny, too long, insensitive/offensive, lacking in plot and flow, and even Adam Sandler looks bored.

I put this on for my kids, watched a couple minutes of it, then did some housework. Adam Sandler's so bad here that, by rights, he should never work in Hollywood again. My kids were amused by Taylor Lautner's character, though. Also Rob Schneider's pet burro has diarrhea twice in the first half hour.

Urgh! Overlong and sparsely funny. This movie is bad enough to make Schneider's performance seem decent (think about that). Urgh!

I rarely rate movies I don't see all the way through, but sometimes you don't need to finish something to know exactly how terrible it is. T-Laut is painfully bad.

While The Ridiculous 6 is definitely a bad movie, it's not nearly as big of an offender as some of Sandler's other recent films. Unlike such debacles as Jack & Jill and Grown-Ups 2, there is actually a decent plot for almost a half hour of the movie before the bodily function jokes kick in. However, its constant skirting of the line between acceptable satire and racially offensive comedy is what really does it in.

So ... that was awful.

I enjoyed The Ridiculous 6 (2015). I'm not saying it doesn't have issues. Way too long and it isn't as absurd spoof as it could have been, but in a weird way The Ridiculous 6 from a classic Hollywood perspective felt like less like a western parody then the smug hipster westerns like Bone Tomahawk (2015) & Slow West (2015).

Almost works in sum, and definitely in parts, thanks to a gently goofy tone, reminiscent of THREE AMIGOS, separating it from Sandler's angrier HAPPY MADISON efforts, and Coraci proving better at taking advantage of the sweeping landscape than you might expect, while drawing amusing performances from the eclectic cast (Lautner's go-for-broke Forrest Gump (?) impression is the most fun and biggest surprise). Conquered by egregious overlength, confounded further by stumbling pacing, but still fun.

Adam Sandler doesn't change. Taking a fairly large budget for a shoddy comedy is just his shtick. And that's fine, but not for everyone. The Ridiculous 6 is unfunny, and too long to take any enjoyment from. Don't bother.

As low brow as movies get, but ultimately not that awful for a Sandler flick. Entertaining at times.

I dunno it just doesn't really work. The old west is kind of played out at this point so relying heavy on that for jokes gets a bit tiresome. It stays out of being a total slog with some great moments brought by a stacked cast of Sandler regulars and some outsiders (forte, Wilson, etc). Also, I hate to be that guy, but as an injun this really isn't that offensive. I'm more offended by how unfunny it is.

This movie was funny at times. It wasn't really good. Just another Adam Sandler movie. I liked it though.

The best thing I can say about this movie is that it's fucking stupid. Oh, and I didn't recognise Rob Schneider for almost an hour.

The most 'cinematic' of Sandler's Netflix films and not as bad as its reputation suggests. The 2 hour running time is a head scratcher as there simply aren't many character or plot ideas, and a sense of randomness creeps in early, which is typical of mid career Sandler but seems even more damaging than usual in this specific context. Parts of the score also riff shamelessly on the City Slickers theme. How conscious this choice was is difficult to discern and doesn't really matter.

Again, critics completely trashed this Sandler comedy. The way I judge a comedy is how much I laugh, and I laughed throughout this one. My only criticism is that it's a little long and takes itself too seriously from time to time.

Unpleasant and laugh-free, The Ridiculous 6 is a torturous movie experience that will scar even the most devoted Adam Sandler fan.

This is a horrible film, what a waste of so many talented people in the cast. The only funny part of the entire film is the baseball scene. Every other part of the film is forced and unfunny. Skip watching this movie and instead watch any other comedy or western.

My cousin forced me to watch it telling me it was funny. I will never forgive him.

Exactly as the name implies this is ridiculous. Adam Sandler is a terrible comedy writer and this reeks of his particular brand of stupid screwball humor. Most of the jokes failed miserably & the songs were the worst. Surprisingly I did laugh out loud a couple times at the beginning, but it was all down hill after that. Several characters were stupendously inane. Overall this is really a terrible movie.

Certainly one of the better Adam Sandler comedies despite Taylor Lautner's annoying character. More fun than A Million Ways to Die in the West.
