The Ring Two

2005
Drama
Suspense/Thriller
1h 50m
The story picks up six months after the horrifying events that terrorized Rachel Keller (Watts) and her son Aidan (Dorfman) in Seattle. To escape her haunting memories, Rachel takes Aidan and moves to the small coastal community of Astoria, Oregon, to start fresh. However, Rachel's resolve quickly turns to dread when evidence at a local crime scene-including an unmarked videotape-seems eerily familiar. Rachel realizes that the vengeful Samara is back and more determined than ever to continue her relentless cycle of terror and death. (DreamWorks)

I still can't believe the director of the original Japanese RINGU (which I loved) directed this. This movie is a complete mess. Not the worst ever, but not even close to being good.

recycled version of the original. barely solves any loose ends, and when it does, it just creates new ones. no idea why they didn't stick to the japanese plot line.

Saw about half, and it was embarrassing. That little kid is one of the worst actors to "grace" the silver screen, ever.

Not quite as freaky as the original, but it served its purpose well as far as I was concerned: Explain what the fuck is actually going on.

They let the cat out of the bag in the first movie and forgot to put a new one in. Ring Two sadly has to make due with a somewhat boring catless bag.

No a bad film, but it does get underserved hate, it's okay but not as good as the first.

It is very hard to believe that this film was inspired by the original Ring (well, the original US version of the Ring for all of you nitpickers) as it was not at all scary unless you have a creepy phobia of deer.

Considerably weaker then it's predecessor. Not terrible, but not very good.

This is a trainwreck of a movie. I loved the first, but this one is not even coherent. The pacing is all over the place and eventually you just don't even care, you want it to be over.

The writer's target audience is, I assume, people who are so dumb that they wouldn't get the first 15 or so reminders that the kid only calls his mother Rachel so he included, for the benefit of the single digit IQ viewers of this film, an additional 755 hints, all dropped like a seven ton anvil on your head in the guise of the most annoying child actor this side of Haley Joel Osment. Which really takes away from what would have otherwise been a rather generic, uneven, predictable, poorly d

This movie made me want to smack something with a hammer. Hard. I hated Rachel and her stupid kid. I liked Samara the best...and that's clearly not what the writer was going for. Not scary. I expected better. The original was the only movie that has ever even vaguely scared me. I went into this expecting some of the loose ends from The Ring to be tied up...and instead got this incoherent pile of shit. Avoid.

fucking ridiculous. not half as scary as the ring. they shove too much into it to be effective in any way but the action movie line is stellar.

The first Ring remake by Gore Verbinski, while not particularly original was decent enough and had its fair share of scares. The second film, however, is shithouse. Not scary because we know what's going to happen, with useless redshirt supporting characters. The deer scene is hilairious.

Take a relatively interesting concept, then beat it to death in the sequel. I really disliked this movie. Not scary, rarely creepy, and most often boring.

Starts off as an interesting parable of a single mother and the fear of her potentially gay son, but meanders and then collapses under an ending from reshoot hell.

Scary movie, once you think the dead chick in the well is dead she is back again. It really scares you off your seat and has a good story.
