So terrible it's downright laughable, even taking into account the time period it was made in. The fact that the robot is clearly a man with a bucket on his head pretty much sums the entire budget of the film. Throw in how most of the film is pointless exposition, and the climatic "fight" is basically the two hugging each other, and you have very little to enjoy here.

The poster for this should've had exciting illustrations of a bunch of old guys sitting around talking about adventures that they don't really have the budget for.

Hey, let's show a bunch of boring men TALK about adventures instead of showing them! Dubbed or not, this is bad. See it on MST3K.

3/4th of the movie consists of "happened in the past", which was extremely uninteresting. The real Robot vs Mummy battle lasted not long, compared to how long the robot took to wake up. And the fight sucked too. What a snorefest!

Way funnier then most Hollywood offerings today. I'm pretty sure this set the record for most exposition in film. Every scene requires narration dialogue, character dialogue explaining what's happening and then a recap in the following scene. It's a human-robot! I watched this on MST3K.

When Vonnegut advised writers to start their stories as close to their climaxes as possible, he surely didn't mean like this. A full two thirds of the film consists of a guy explaining what happened previously to people who were there for most of what happened! Then the climax occurs, where the robot appears for all of five minutes before clumsily hugging the mummy and being defeated in a massive anticlimax. Incompetent on all levels.

Over half of the movie is a flashback to the previous two entries, making for a mostly tedious outing. Still, Mummy vs. Robot, can't miss. [MST3k is good for being off the cuff, but lacks the snap and pop of the scripted seasons.]

One of the most hopelessly inept films I've ever seen. Good thing I saw it on Mystery Science Theater.

Grade-Z Mexican horror film. Special effects are laughable today -- the robot's ears are lightbulbs.

The poster is awesome. The film? Not awesome. Though the MST3K version is at least watchable. The set-up is just so strange. Revealed in flashbacks, and time skips that cover years. The main villain does have a top-tier villain look.

So, Aztec Mummies are afraid of Christian symbolism? Like vampires? Sure. Let's roll with it.

I concur with others that this is one of the most disastrous examples of how not to plot and tell a story. I don't really give a shit about the exposition, all I wanted were obscure, hypnotic scenes of Aztec rituals, and also some sweet Robot vs. Mummy showdown yet all of this juicy stuff is marginal. All the same it does have the brain-numbing interminability and dissociative impact of worthy crap.

I couldn't understand most of what was going on. The MSTK episode covering this has some good jokes.

More like being told about a movie than actually seeing one. Glacially paced, and the long-awaited confrontation at the end was a thoroughgoing dud (it was like watching 2 poodles fight). Probably the silliest scene of all was the unveiling of the robot, with the Bat (who resembled Orson Welles with a goatee) ranting on interminably and then this absurdly prolonged musical-chairs sequence of one actor's face after another.

Mexicans make good firecrackers. It seems they're equally adept at making bombs. If you like corny old sci-fi/horror, this is the one for you.

The Aztec Mummy series was probably the dumbest concocted by the Mexican horror film industry, but this is far from the worst entry, with loads of fun and hokey elements.

An overall atrocious film. I don't even remember there being a robot.. Watched it with an english dub, which was so bad it was entertaining enough to be worthwhile. Probably recommend watching it with the dub for that reason.
