Will Rogers repeats for the camera his famous roping tricks from the Ziegfeld Follies. With a white-painted rope to show up against his black horse Dopey, Rogers demonstrates running catches, wherein he ropes the fore legs of the galloping horse. Rogers also spins his trick lariat, jumping through it and back, and exhibiting the prowess that made his roping a national sensation. (imdb)

Of course, this short is nothing more than an excuse for Will Rogers to show off his world-champion roping skills, but it's a lot of fun and the tricks are simply phenomenal. Add to that the cool slow-mo photography, which looks great today, let alone how innovative it was for the time. Add to that a monkey with a rope. You can see this at archive.org.
