The Rosary Murders

Excellent performances from Sutherland and Durning combine with an intriguing premise promising to delve into the ethical vs spiritual obligations of the priesthood regarding information obtained during confession; it's a shame the second half turns into MURDER SHE WROTE with Sutherland turning investigator and muddling his way through contrivances and coincidences (as well as some annoying red herrings). Some sharp and amusing lines in the screenplay, no doubt courtesy of co-author Leonard.
