Ehn, Covid-19 was much more annoying. This spread so quick they never had to endure acquaintances on Facebook suddenly become the greatest scientific minds to ever share the same videos of some piece of shit moron ranting in their truck about research etc The lengths a middle aged asian businessman in a CAT IIIesque film will go to sexually harass someone is kinda in a awful way, admirable???

Quite brutal. In a way, it's refreshing to see.

Pretty damn twisted, I can tell you that much. Doesn't shy away from extreme gore, makes it a real bloodfest with blood and guts flying in excess, and that's not even the worst part about it. It was good, but I think that the shock value was a bit too obvious, just a bit too much sometimes. Apart from that it doesn't have too much going for it, plot-wise, but I was never bored watching it, either.

I guess this is the closest thing we'll get to Crossed adaptation, but after a point it suffers from the same thing as the Crossed comics - sustained ultraviolence and sadism can only be compelling if there's an investment on the part of the viewer, and there's little on offer here. I actually thought the boyfriend (spoiler) was far more unsettling at the end than the subway businessman for that reason. Shout out to Alan Moore's Crossed +100 series which was the only interesting Crossed story.

For gorehounds this is a treat. It's memorable in how insanely violent it is, and there are some truly inspired usages of said violence on occasion. But that is all at the expense of characters and a story worth giving a damn about. At a certain point I'm just like, "Yeah I get it, there's blood." The social commentary is fine I guess, but there's just not much to latch onto. The direction is not memorable and it doesn't have much tension.

A better-than-average story that losses stream after the first hour. I liked how the main character Zeng Kai Ting didn't really act like a hero but acted more like a good but somewhat selfish regular person.

C'est hyper dégueu mais c'est ça qui est bon. Les parallèles avec la situation sanitaire passée sont louables à défaut d'être développés. Bon film gore et barré !

It's a paper-thin plot where you're supposed to hope the attractive main characters survive, and makes exactly the social commentary that every zombie movie makes (even the ones that don't think they're doing social commentary), BUT if you don't mind those super-generic core features, there are tons of wacky death scenes, fun minor characters, and gore effects that make it an entertaining popcorn movie.

I don't get the title, they seemed to have a really fun time.

good movie

Goes from 0-60 pretty quickly and doesn't let up all that often. Solid entry for genre fans. A lot of shock gore/rape stuff though that isn't my jam. 6.3 overall.

A few interesting hinted-at concepts of exactly what the difference is between humans and zombies, but ultimately it's all a pretty thin excuse for some really great gore. Which is an interesting comment on its own comment, I guess.

Eye sockets are tougher than you think.

A simple string of violent scenes, most likely inspired by the Crossed comic books. The violence is at times explicit, but nothing unique or groundbreaking. The two main characters utterly fail at being the emotional core of the movie. The plot is generic and badly written.

It's definitely a gore for the sake of gore movie, but pretty well done considering.

Well, it's torture porn with some halfway creative ultra-violence, but there certainly isn't much more to it.

If the third act was better, I would have been happier.
