George Sanders' second film in The Saint series is a bit of a bore, but at least The Saint punched a pretty lady in the face. There are some happenings in the story, but I felt Sanders himself was taking it a little too easy this time around. Instead it's David Burns, doing a guest appearance as Dugan, that takes center-stage.

There's a moment in each of these Saint films where someone invariably compares him to Robin Hood, but if you ask me he's more like a proto-Doctor Who in this one. He materialises in the midst of a big crime conspiracy, picks up a couple of high-spirited companions, cracks the case (along with a few jokes), then vanishes into to thin air again. It's all very formulaic and shallow, but perfectly watchable.
