The greatest actors of three generations, but Norton outshines them all despite basically reprising his role in Primal Fear. One elaborate scene does not a movie make.

Entertaining if predictable heist flick. De Niro and Norton are both really good, but the movie offers little you haven't seen before if you like this sort of film.

Solid acting by DeNiro and Norton make this heist film stand out. Without that, it would have been a run of the mill caper flick. Pretty good!

An alright heist flick with a surprisingly good cast. The twists, turns and double crosses came off as being quite predictable to me. In a movie where those very elements are supposed to be shocking and exciting that kind of kills the enjoyment.

Good performances by an all-star cast, but it's a very basic movie - the story is really nothing to write home about and the "twist" is foreseeable. Nice camera work overall, but some confusing use of hand cameras made me wonder what Oz was trying to express there.
Ed Norton's retard performance really is nice - he's just one of the best actors in his generation.

Every now and then there's a moment of really good writing, a great shot, or an outstanding moment from one of the A-list actors. In between these moments though is a plot that sometimes feels overly complicated for simple situations or just a re-hashing of what we've seen in every heist movie before it. Worth a watch, but don't expect to be blown away.

Always love me a solid heist film. Of course the story isn't great by any means and it's somewhat predictable, but you can't judge a film like this off those aspects. I found it to be engaging, entertaining, and was pumped to see Brando, De Niro, and Norton (all arguably the best actors of their generation) in the same movie; Norton especially giving a great performance (I mean, has he ever disappointed?). Not too shabby at all.

In this era, this kind of dinosaur of a movie is a bit of an oddity, so it's ironic that an un-hip and subdued film like THE SCORE could seem so cutting edge.

Very straightforward, it's like getting aboard a train; you get to the destination steadily, but you didn't get the twist and turns of a roller coaster. You get the story, you get the actors' acting, and you're there at the end, you're not bored, you're just there at the end. The most exotic was probably the Montreal setting

Frank Oz has done Muppets and several (bad) Star Wars episodes. Well, there was also a good comedy or two but that's it. Norton was okay but the story did not have any spark on it. And no surprises in the end.

Fairly slow moving but DeNiro as well as Norton are possibly my two favorite male actors of all time. It harks to the movie "Italian Job" using a quirky scheme to aid in a 'perfect' heist. The twists and turns can be anticipated making it a little cliche but none the less, a decent movie.

Don't expect a mix of Godfather and Fight Club here - this movie is average. The only reason why I have not given a lower mark is because of Ed Norton's performance (quite impressive). Otherwise, the scenario is simplistic and commercially formatted, the ending is highly forseeable... and, of course, re-explained to you 3 times just in case you have still not figured it out ---- Next.

First drama that Frank Oz directed proves to be a bit too much for him, with a lousy script, rewrites and clashing egos on set. So much acting talent seems to be wasted. De Niro looks like he is having a bad day, but Brando is beyond terrible. Score is a simple caper flick that would have felt so much better if it was not promising what it could not deliver.

Robert De Niro is great as the veteran thief, and Edward Norton undercover as a retarded janitor, but actually an upstart criminal who thinks he's got the angle. The crime was over the top, but still very enjoyable. Except for the getting of the computer codes nonsense, everything else seemed fairly plausible. The love story with Angela Bassett was not very convincing, and Marlon Brando sure had gotten fat. Great music and plenty of action makes this movie well worth watching.

Strong cast doing their thing with a surprisingly inviting and colorful palette in Montreal providing the background (Nick's apartment and club, along with the cobblestone streets are the standout sets). The film is well paced, though its one-sided identification with DeNiro's stoic and preternaturally observant character leaves it feeling too controlled, meaning much of the intended drama never quite hits as strong as it should.
