The Silent War

Plays like a war movie with the drama cranked up to eleven and the violence nearly completely omitted. As a spy thriller, the whole blind piano tuner hired by the government to locate covert spy messages by tuning a radio, that shtick is almost funny in its absurdity, but Tony Leung is a good actor and he does the best he can with what he's given. Call me a sucker for mid-20th century stuff and spy thrillers, but I didn't hate it nearly as much as should have been justified.
