The Sinful Dwarf

Putting aside how un-PC and in poor taste this is, this suffers from the biggest problem exploitation films can face in that, beyond the first reactions to the strangeness and sleaze, it has the pace of a two legged brontosaurus and is painfully dull. It has aspects of interest - the opening credits sequences involving toys and the sound effects occasional scattered throughout - but this is not so-bad-so-good and is just garbage.

Imbued with an ever-stumbling, clumsy kinetic energy, this is equal parts brain-damaged, grimy, bracing, and shrill.Much like Death Bed, its amateurishness gives it a disconnected, dream-like quality, but this is more disturbing.This came out the same year, from the same region of Europe, and featured similar themes as Thriller:A Cruel Picture,but this is so much more committed to tastelessness, with none of the themes of empowerment or redemption that makes Thriller more defensible.Total Trash!

Extraordinarily sleazy movie that doesn't deliver on its initial promise. The opening credits with their freestyling music and array of sinister childrens' toys are quite something, but the movie that follows is slow-paced, dull and unengaging. The titular dwarf is excellently creepy, but the rest of the movie is a waste.

The dwarf is AWESOME and the scene where he rapes the lead girl, drooling and laughing maniacally, is genuinely disturbing. His drunk cabaret singer mother is also fun. Unfortunately the film itself is poorly paced exploitation trash that feels unbelievably sluggish, dull and not particularly exploitive, despite its lovely demented carnival freak show atmosphere.

It's dull, it wanders off showing me things I don't care about and pretty much just wastes time between the shock scenes that weren't all that shocking
