When a boxer turned restaurateur (Michael Clarke Duncan) announces a contest to his waitstaff, the good news is that the winner will get a $10,000 bonus. The bad news? The loser will be on the receiving end of a heavy-duty smack-down at the hands of the champ himself.

Meatdrapes. How come it doesn't sound like that when I say it?

An okay movie that has been outdone by Waiting...some characters like Nuts just disappeared while the Champ was too overused. Fav scene: being annoyed at someone reading at a restaurant was quite personal for me and brought back memories of working in food service.

Broken Lizard seems to never fail in giving you a decent amount of comedy. Not their best film, but if you are fan of the group you'll most likely appreciate this odd yet familiar story.

It doesn't need to be said, but, this movie doesn't match up with Super Troopers. But it IS an improvement over their last two outings. MCD is hilarious, Jay Chandrasekhar in particular really shines once again, and while this was certainly a lower-budget effort than their previous works, and again, doesn't stack up to Super Troopers, I don't think the unfavorable reviews I'm seeing here (and from professional critics) are warranted. It's as if lowbrow and slapstick are suddenly bad things.

I don't think these guys are the crowned geniuses of stupid movies, but I was in the right mood for this type nonsense.

Same premise as Waiting but you don't feel ashamed after watching it. By no means a bad movie but when it comes to Broken Lizard you just expect a bit more. For the most part the jokes seem pretty restrained for what I was expecting. The group just didn't seem to have the dynamic they had in Super Troopers or even Beerfest. I would say worth a watch if you are a fan of Broken Lizard's movies give it a shot.

A few good parts, but mostly garbage.

These guys' movies are just plain fun. I actually liked Club Dread too. =/ I wouldn't mind if life were an eternally reconfigurable movie with these guys as characters. (+ hot women)

I want to rate it higher since I have a special place in my heart for this type of movie, excellent fare for hungover sundays - but... fact is that the film, while funny, is not great and Waiting... is probably better. Still, good lighthearted fun for one of those days when you just want some fast food and a few laughs. Also, Michael Clarke Duncan was excellent.

Failed to captivate me like Super Troopers or even Beerfest. You could do worse killing time but overall, the laughs are too far between.

I expected bad comedy with a handful of ok jokes. That would've been a masterpiece compared to this movie.

I am a big fan of some of Broken Lizards work, but this is pretty weak. They've got a fairly star studded cast for this, but it is lacking their usual brand of humor. Gets some points for the girl from how I met your mother though.

far better than club dread, but not nearly as good as super troopers and beerfest. it is funny, but not over the top funny like some what we should expect from broken lizard. give it a watch, it's fairly laughable, and clarke duncan is awesome.

A pretty good effort. I'd agree with other reviewers who say that this seems like the most focused of Broken Lizard's movies. That's both a good and a bad thing- the guys don't go off into left field so much, as they do in some of their other flicks. At the same time, some of those odd asides can be very effective. Just the same, it's a funny- if not hilarious- movie.

I should say that I'm a fan of Broken Lizard and consider both Beerfest and Super Troopers to be hilarious. However the Slammin' Salmon is about on par with Club Dredd. Some of the jokes are undeniably funny however they're too few and far between to actually sustain a comedy. The low budget makes itself apparent as the entire movie takes place in one location which also limits the locational humour which is often made in Broken Lizard films.

It's really not bad. It's not as hilarious as Super Troopers or Beerfest but I think it surpassed Club Dread as an overall movie. It's got some funny parts but not enough to really consider it a really funny movie. Overall, it's an entertaining watch and not a terrible way to spend 90 minutes of the day.

Considering I work in the industry I probably found this funnier than it actually was. That's not to say it's a good movie, but I can understand the low scores.

I was drunk watching this and I'm not sure I'm able to give it justice with this score, but... Some parts were funny, most of the film failed to capture my interest. Cobie Smulders is undeniably cute.

This is another silly but funny Broken Lizard movie. This time the cast features Michael Clarke Duncan, who certainly is having a lot of fun with his role. There are many other funny characters and I think Jay Chandrasekhar steals this movie.

As pure entertainment this is quite ok. Your brain knows whats comming, you've seen it so many times before in every classic medium comedy story-line.
