Rather subversive look at Mark Kerr and PRIDE at the turn of the millenium. Good footage of Kerr, Bas Rutten, Mark Colemon and Igor Vovchanchyn. Overly sensational otherwise and a poor primer to those unfamiliar with the sport. If you weren't a fan of PRIDE you won't get much out of this.

Full disclosure: I'm a huge MMA dork so I was already predisposed to like this film. That said, it's an interesting and fair look into a sport that was certainly misunderstood when this documentary was released back in 2002, and is still somewhat misunderstood to this day. This film's doubly interesting when you look what's become of the people featured since its release.

An uninteresting documentary about a really dumb and stupid sport. I watched it because it featured Bas Rutten, and I'd watch anything with Bas Rutten. Kick to the head, knee to the face BAM BAM

Kerr comes across great in this, despite his demons. Coleman also makes for a surprisingly likable main character here. Great, gruesome behind-the-scenes look at MMA, with some amazing stuff from when PRIDE just had otherworldly support and presentation.

Pretty ridiculous sport - which supplies this documentary with some pretty (good) graphic action shots. I was surprised at the eloquence and general thoughtfulness shown by Kerr and some of the others.
