The Spider was a murder mystery I really enjoyed. Cringe worthy comedy by El Brendel, as well as Ruth Donnelly, which didn't seem to fit the setting at all. But when trying to be creepy with dark shadows, ghouling stage sets and haunting face shots it really captured my imagination! Edmund Lowe, while a little over the top, put on a fine performance as the magician giving it the energy and building the expectations. The effects in getting there really made the adventure there enchanting!
