Diamond Ship is overall still exciting and interesting and Lang is working very hard to provide entertainment on all levels -- visually and thematically. I enjoyed Golden Sea more for being streamlined, though for some it may be TOO pulpy. The Diamond Ship is the movie I'd recommend for fans of Lang wanting to look back at the start of his career.
