The Stone Killer

Solid pre-Death Wish Michael Winner-Charles Bronson vehicle.

Bronson film so: tough cop, knocking on doors and kicking in teeth. Aaaand that's pretty much all it is. Some neat car chase scenes throughout. I found it hard to follow exactly what was going on outside Charles Bronson being Charles Bronson. Italian mobsters? Vietnam vets? Okay? Another one of those films that is a good preservation and look into 1970s NYC. Doesn't offer much more than that and Bronson being a complete badass as usual. Oh and dat MF Sample. Hnnng.

Olha, não suporto o Michael Winner, só o tolero nos filmes que fez com o Oliver Reed porque amo o Ollie, mas esses filmes com o Bronson são amplamente insuportáveis. Box Versátil Cinema Policial Volume 8 (ultimamente só têm vindo bomba nessa coleção, embora esse volume tenha Lumet e Rush excelentes).

Good goofy 70's fun!

Sloppy, incoherent clusterfuck of a cop movie that only attempts to make sense in short bursts. It's an unholy mixture of more movies than I care to mention and none of it really matters as all that goes on basicly functions as elaborate excuses to have Bronson spout archaic pig jargon and kill motherfuckers. And I'm the only one who rated this film? FUCK this site.

Surprisingly good Bronson/Winner film that was made just before Death Wish. This one owes a lot to Dirty Harry but doesn't take itself that seriously. There's some hilarious non-PC dialogue and details. I'm a bit surprised that this isn't better known and demonstrates how Bronson's filmography is filled with small gems.
