Here's one for lying on the couch and watching on a rainy day. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for slow movies, magic realism, and films that are demanding but unaggressive but I fell under this movie's spell.

Gosto de como o Manoel de Oliveira traz elementos do gótico aqui, mais na narrativa do que na atmosfera, além da maneira com que joga com uma atemporalidade que poderia se passar em qualquer ponto dos últimos cem anos, por exemplo, os carros e o tipo de fotografia são contemporâneos, mas os tratores passaram a substituir enxadas já há quase cem anos, entre outros dos mais variados detalhes que brincam com um tempo indefinido da nossa cronologia.

Whatever this film was trying to say got lost in the fact that this was one of the most uninteresting films I've seen.
