The Stranger

Overall, "The Stranger" is a well-made and disturbing film that effectively conveys the horror of a real-life crime. Despite some confusion at the beginning, the slow-burning narrative and intense performances make for a captivating viewing experience.

On paper this should be very much my cup of tea, but I managed to find it sort of boring. I did like the creepy - borderline horror - vibe though and both of the main characters were excellent.

Thought it was going to be an action film, rather than a crime drama. Very intense, especially with headphones. Never cross the Australian police. Sad to see it was based on a real-life case. Incredible peformances

I'd heard of the case this is based on, and honestly expected more. It's a confusing and seemingly pointless film, although scary.

The style was usually a bonus, but it pulled me out of the film a couple times. Harris and Edgerton are great and bring the film up a notch.
